Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Who this policy covers
This policy covers doctyping.tech, run by [Business name]. It is written with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind. We use your data only for the purpose you gave it for.
Your letters stay in your browser
Drafts, profile, address book, letterhead, signature, stamp and an operator's customer list are saved in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
The server only keeps the draft's ID (for free re-downloads) — never the letter's content.
In the passport photo tool the photo never leaves your phone or computer.
AI processing
To write letters, your notes, photos of handwriting and voice recordings are sent to the Google Gemini API. Google processes them on our behalf to provide the service. We do not store them on our servers and never log letter content.
To make a PDF / Word file, the letter is processed on the server for a few seconds and then discarded.
What we store, and for how long
Account: e-mail and login method — while your account exists.
Wallet: coin balance, transactions, payment records (amount, Razorpay IDs, status), download records (pages, format, date) — payment and tax records for as long as Indian law requires.
Card / UPI details are handled by Razorpay; we never see them.
For security, each request's IP address is counted for a few minutes (to stop too many requests).
Our service providers (data processors)
Google (Gemini API) — AI letter writing and transcription.
Supabase — login and wallet database (Mumbai region).
Razorpay — payments.
Hosting provider — the website and PDF creation.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Cookies
Only essential cookies: the login session and language (NEXT_LOCALE). No advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a summary of your data, have it corrected, have your account and data erased, and withdraw your consent. Payment records required by law are kept for the required period.
Letters saved in your browser can be deleted by you in "My letters" or by clearing the browser's data.
Children (under 18) should create an account with a parent's / guardian's consent.
